Entertainment Space is Google's one-stop home for movies, shows, videos, games, books, and music on Android tablets from partner manufacturers (OEMs). I created and maintained its design system to keep the experience consistent and polished, helped plan and deliver quarterly objectives, led accessibility work, and built the cross-functional relationships that carried the product to launch.
Co-created the concept and part of the design strategy
UX/UI for the Game and Read tabs, Spotlight, accounts, and errors
Design system, adaptive design, and accessibility training
3 team leads across orgs, 1 other designer, 4 PMs, a data analyst, and a UX researcher
Launched as a preloaded launcher on Android OEM tablets

When users install their entertainment apps, Entertainment Space connects them, bringing their movies, shows, games, books, and music into one hub on the tablet.
Entertainment Space came preloaded on Android tablets from OEM partners; swiping left from the home screen opened it. The Play Movies & TV team started it because so much of what people do on tablets is entertainment.
It wasn't a sign that Google was returning to making its own tablets, and the product wasn't meant to suggest otherwise. The focus was the experience on partners' devices.
After helping shape the concept with the team, I took on the experience for the Games and Read tabs, along with Spotlight, account handling, adaptive layouts, and the error framework.
Across all of it, I created and maintained the design system that kept every tab consistent, and led accessibility training for the team.
